Description:    Metal-free apoprotein, binds zinc and copper. Could play a special role in regulating zinc metabolism during the differentiation of stratified epithelia. Expressed exclusively in stratified squamous epithelia associated with oral epithelia, esophagus, upper stomach, tail, footpads and neonatal skin.
