Description:    Noncovalent complex with 7 zinc ions. All Cys-residues are in the form of thiolates, which participate in the binding of seven Zn2+ ions.

Modified amino acids:    * The N-terminal methionine is acetylated. All Cys-residues are in the form of  thiolates, which participate in the binding of seven Zn2+ ions.

Form:    Lyophilized. 

Purity:   Contains 7 Zinc ions per molecule of metallothionein-2B.

Solubility:    Buffer at pH 7-8.

Storage:    Freezer (-20° C). Protect from moisture. In solution at neutral pH and in the presence of oxygen metallothionein is sensitive to oxidation and solutions should not be stored.
